My wife and I have already been on lots of tours to the country of Spain, and we love the place, but we generally head down to Andalusia. Just like how we love getting on a journey, we also love change. So this year, we both made a decision to visit to Javea and rent a wonderful holiday villa near to the beach. It proved well that the particular area has not only met our requirements but hugely exceeded it and we’re so happy.
Javea is in Costa Blanca province of Alicante in the land of Valencia. Like several other places in coastal spots, it receives a great deal of traveller, however they are more diverse in nationality when compared to the tourists where we in most cases stay. And we were pleasantly surprised at how legitimately Spanish Javea is when we would have liked somewhere that felt a little more Spanish. Other significant attraction of this area is represented by its astounding traditions and customs enhancing the culture of Javea residents. For this reason you will absolutely feel at home as it provides that real experience of comfort and experience to the holidaymakers and travellers.
It isn’t quite as hot as the southern tip of Spain being further up from the equator but the weather conditions are still very hot.
Having an architectural mastery of Mediterranean layout and maze of narrow winding streets bounded on both sides by old white washed buildings, the area itself is just what exactly you’d expect to see. It’s ideally located, near a surprising white sand beach and scenic scenery roads. The town is actually within a large enclave on the Costa Blanca.
You can also rent a bike and feel free to explore the town particularly the Montgó Natural Park which is worth seeing and worth visiting. We do not have kids to think about, so we took a trip up the Montgó Mountain on our second day, this time on foot. You can find spectacular views to behold at the top of the summit and also the gentle stroll all of the method to the peak was at all effectively worth performing. You can view Denia and north to Valencia, west out to sea and south Javea at the mountain. It’s wise to have plenty of water plus some lunch though as there’s no dining establishments or food shops nearby and it takes a while to mountain.
While within the town, it’s wise to visit and to check out the “old town” part of Javea at least once.
Here you’ll be able to discover the magnificent Gothic fortress church from the fourteenth century or be intrigued around the historical lookout posts perched on the mountain tops which were created to defend Javea from pirates and prospective invaders. And to experience more of the natural beauty Javea’s coastline could offer, you might want to visit the official viewpoints which have been selected for their wonderful panoramas which in North, there’s the remains of several windmills which overlook the town and from the south the stunning high cliff landscape of Cap Negre and Cabo de la Nao can be admired. It’s a great place for relaxing and sitting or eating packed lunch or picnicking
We’ve mostly covered all activities important to totally enjoy the visit like eating (mostly in this lovely eating place in Javea Bay – Sofia’s Restaurant), scuba diving, lounging on the beach and on the sand next to the sea. Basically, the week was spent in the surrounding area walking or cycling. We arrived in this place for that reason.
We were pleased with our holiday villa in Javea so much we have made a decision to move for good and transfer there later in the year, and the second part of our holiday was spent actually looking for a villa for sale in Javea. We still need to make an informed decision which is the best new home for us and there are a number of ideal villas for sale to decide on.
The town is fairly rich, as it’s a very ideal place so there are villas that can reach a sale price in the several millions of Euros. We’re not quite that well-off and had budget of around 300,000 Euros to spend (including selling our current home) but for that money what you can buy is outstanding. A great mix of both contemporary and classic Spanish architecture is what we are attracted to a deluxe villa. It has its own swimming pool and a large garden. We are also interested in another villa that’s not quite as large, similarly priced and near to the canal. However, we also found a brilliant two bedroom villa located high in the Castellans place of Javea which has magnificent picturesque views of the enclave from its spacious balcony, and is amazingly only half the price of the other two. Although it lacks pool, the balcony even more than evens up for it, and for 1/2 the purchase price we’re able to even hold and rent our existing residential home for extra revenue.
We have totally fallen in love with Javea, with the countryside, the beaches, the people and the fantastic households. We can’t wait to move out there. All we have to do now is make a good investment on which home we want (and can afford) and we’ll be starting our new lives in one of the popular exciting places on Earth.
